Coronavirus in Argentina: 13,790 infections were reported, the highest value in 10 weeks

After the rise in infections and deaths, the Government reported today a new jump and announced that they are 13,790 people who tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus in the last 24 hours and those infected in the country reached 1,662,730. This is the highest figure in 10 weeks.





Of that total, 1,466,616 have already been recovered. Meanwhile, health centers throughout the country entered the National Health Surveillance System (SNVS) 151 deaths, and the total number of deaths from the pandemic is 43,785.

According to the daily part of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, the provinces that reported infections today were:

  • 23 residents in the province of Buenos Aires

With the latest data, three out of four provinces show an upward trend in infections in their jurisdictions in the last 14 days. The six that show casualties are: Salta, San Luis, San Juan, La Rioja, Corrientes, Misiones and Santa Fe.

Meanwhile, the six provinces that presented the highest percentage of increase in the last two weeks are: Formosa, Jujuy, Santiago del Estero, city of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos and province of Buenos Aires.

Son 3460 people with the disease in Intensive Care Units (ICU). The occupation of ICU beds, beyond the illness that explains the hospitalization of the patient, at the national level averages 54%, while in the AMBA it reaches 58.1%.
