Coronavirus: Hugo López-Gatell is captured on the flight to Huatulco and without wearing a mask

Hugo López-Gatell, Undersecretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, is once again the center of attention on social networks, but now it is not because of a new statement about the COVID-19 coronavirus, but because he appeared on a plane, talking on the phone and without wearing a mask.

The journalist Salvador García Soto released a photograph in which López is observed-Gatell without applying one of the measures that he has defended and recommended so much to Mexicans during the pandemic: the indisputable use of mask.

According to the commentator, López-Gatell was traveling on flight 392 of Aeromexico, From Mexico City (CDMX) a Huatulco, in the state of Oaxaca.

Quickly on social networks the federal official began to be criticized for Failure to comply with the rules established in commercial flights and, in general, with the health provisions of the pandemic, proposed by the same Ministry of Health where he collaborates.

On December 19, Hugo López-Gatell indicated that if COVID-19 infections do not decrease by January 10, 2021, the date he established for the suspension of non-essential activities in the Valley of Mexico, more severe additional measures will be taken.

CDMX remains on a red epidemiological traffic light due to coronavirus, while Oaxaca remains orange, which means high risk.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health reported that Mexico accumulated 700 more deaths than last Thursday associated with COVID-19, so in total they add 126 thousand 507, as well as 11 thousand 091 new cases diagnosed with coronavirus, to account for one million 437 thousand 185.
