The Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quiros, alerted, to what he described as a “significant increase in cases in recent days”, that “If the curve continues in this condition, decisions will definitely have to be made in the short term.”
However, the official indicated that it is necessary to wait a few more days to assess the epidemiological situation. “We are still seeing the results of the social interaction of the last days of December,” he clarified.
“It is very important to observe what happens in the next few days to know what measures are appropriate to take,” added Quirós. “We have to be able to understand the mechanism in the increase of these cases and to resume the measures of care to delay the second wave or reduce this outbreak,” said the minister in his usual press conference.
