Coronavirus December 27. Mexico adds one million 383 thousand 434 cases of Covid-19; there are 122 thousand 426 deaths

The Health Secretary reported that to the cut of this Sunday, December 27, Mexico added 1 million 383 thousand 434 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 6,217 more in relation to the previous day.

While the death toll reached 122,426, that is, 400 more than those registered yesterday.

It should be remembered that according to epidemiological traffic light the states in red are Mexico City, State of Mexico, Morelos, Guanajuato, and Baja California. In yellow: Sinaloa, Tamaulipas and Veracruz. And in green Chiapas and Campeche, the rest are in orange.

Restart vaccination campaign

This Sunday the vaccination day against Covid-19 in the 81st Infantry Battalion in Tlalpan, Mexico City.

Around 12:00 hours health personnel which is part of the Operation Chapultepec, were the first to be vaccinated.

On this day, about 3,900 vaccinations were applied, and those who attended this first dose should reinforce their immunization in 21 days.

Second batch of vaccines arrives in Mexico

This Saturday Mexico received a second batch of 42,900 vaccines from Pfizer and BioNTech against Covid-19, which will be applied to health personnel in the capital of the country and in Coahuila.

The Ministry of Health recalled that with this second batch, priority will again be given to the Health sector personnel who work in different parts of the capital and Coahuila, with the aim that they can continue to carry out their work without setbacks.

The Ssa and the Ministry of Foreign Relations (SRE) plan to purchase more than 1,400,000 vaccines from the US pharmaceutical company by the end of January, but they also plan to purchase supplies from other companies, such as the British AstraZeneca and the chinese company CanSino Biologics.
