Faced with the great movement of missionaries without respecting prevention measures, such as the use of chinstraps, distancing and hand hygiene, during the Christmas festivities, the Ministry of Public Health raises its concern and reminds the population that we are still in a pandemic and that everything The effort made all these months must be taken care of and because this struggle belongs to everyone and with everyone, it is individual, social and collective.
We missionaries must take care of ourselves and defend our epidemiological status, we must take care of our elders, we must be responsible for our health and our family. And we must bear in mind that stopping the virus is in us, with three simple, but very important rules: wear a chinstrap, Social distancing, Handwashing.
Many of the people who this Christmas did not comply with these rules must think that not only did they run the risk of personal contagion, but that they can infect a friend, a relative, or a stranger that can cause complications in their health that can cause his demise. We CANNOT throw it all away the great job we ALL DID.
The pandemic still continues and we see how the situation in Europe is complicated once again, that is why we can NOT relax our actions. Yesterday, December 25, Misiones registered 46 new cases, and this month 11 deaths have been registered, 11 families who have suffered the loss of a loved one due to this disease. If we do not become aware as a society that this affects us all, unfortunately all the great effort we made will be in vain. The work of the health personnel who has not left the fight for a minute, will be in vain. The application of protocols so that the economy can advance in Misiones will be in vain. For all that is that we should not relax prevention measures.
Today is not the time for massive parties, if we take care of ourselves and help stop this virus, they will soon return. Today is not the time for family reunions of more than 20 people, if we take care of ourselves soon we can all get together again.
Let us take care of our affections, let us take care of everything we have done so far so that Misiones is among the provinces with the least contagions and with the most open economic activities. Let’s be responsible.
