Santiago de Chile, Apr 25 (EFE) .- Colo Colo beat the University of Chile 1-0 this Sunday in the Superclásico of the Chilean league at the Monumental Stadium in Santiago, a victory that catapulted him to the top of the national tournament.
The Argentine-Chilean Leonardo Gil scored the only goal in the 71st minute thanks to a crossed left foot, so much so that he could not defeat the University of Chile in the more than 20 remaining minutes of the game.
With this result, more than 20 years of the U have been completed without winning at the Monumental and Gustavo Quinteros’ team becomes the only leader of the National Championship with ten points, waiting for what Audax Italiano will do this Monday against Sports Melipilla and with one more party than the Catholic University.
In the first half of the Superclásico, the University of Chile dominated the ball and was the star of the match. Only in the last part of the first half, the clearest goal options were produced.
The second half was more agitated, with the arrival of Gil’s goal in the 71st minute and the expulsion in the discount of the white midfielder Gabriel Suazo.
