BEIJING, April 9 (Reuters) – China said on Friday it will take the necessary measures to defend the rights and interests of Chinese companies after the United States included Chinese supercomputing entities on a blacklist of companies.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian spoke at a regular briefing.

The US Commerce Department said Thursday it was adding seven Chinese supercomputing entities to a US trade blacklist for assisting in Chinese-led military activities.
