Bosnia-Herzegovina: Eight people apparently die of gas poisoning at New Year’s party

In Bosnia-Herzegovina, eight young people died at a New Year’s Eve party in a weekend house.

According to local media reports, the young people most likely died from gas leaking from a generator. “The most likely cause of death is gas poisoning,” said police representative Milan Galic, according to the dpa news agency, a regional television station.

The eight young people between 18 and 20 years of age had reportedly withdrawn to the weekend house in a local recreation area near Posusje in western Herzegovina to celebrate the turn of the year.
