Avon and Nature: Among the World’s Most Ethical Companies

Avon and Natura were recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies in 2021 by the Ethisphere Institute. As the only one of Brazilian origin (and one of only two from South America) in the list of 130 global companies, Avon appears for the first time and Natura has achieved distinction in the health and beauty category for the 11th time. Since January 2020, Avon has been part of the Natura & Co group, which also includes The Body Shop and Aesop.

The methodology involves the use of Ethisphere Quotient®, an assessment process that includes more than 200 questions on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics, compliance, governance, diversity, and initiatives to support a strong value chain.

The process functions as an operational framework to capture and codify the main practices of organizations in all sectors of the world. This year the process was expanded to assess how organizations are adapting and responding to the covid-19 pandemic, as well as environmental and social factors, governance, security, equality, inclusion and social justice.
