Audi’s first electric already reaches 100,000 units manufactured

Electric cars are taking flight in the premium market. A little over a year into its commercial career, the Porsche Taycan, for example, already competes with the iconic 911 in the Stuttgart firm’s sales. Success that his peer and fellow countryman also experiences Audi e-tron, the first battery-powered car of the ring brand that today breaks production records.

Two years after the first copies began to be delivered, the Audi e-tron today already accumulates 100,000 units leaving the factory in Brussels, Belgium. The lucky unit corresponds to a Audi e-tron Sportback 55 S line quattro painted in ‘Daytona Gray’, which will be delivered to a customer in that country in the coming weeks.

In addition to its zero-emission mechanics, its very attractive design and full technological equipment (with virtual mirrors, real-time rear-view cameras, among others) would be key to its success.

Not to mention that it has one of the most complete ranges on the market, thanks to a family variant and a more sporty one represented by the e-tron Sportback -which is scheduled to arrive in Chile next September-. Both are also available with S sports versions, with nothing less than 3 electric motors and a maximum power of 503 Hp.

“I would like to thank all the employees who have contributed to the success of this premium electric vehicle for their commitment, their expertise and their passion. Thanks to their great commitment, the global electrification of the Audi brand could begin ”, said Volker Germann, manager of the Audi Brussels factory.
