AstraZeneca’s covid vaccine to be applied at the end of March: SRE

Martha Delgado, sUndersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Relations (SRE), explained that The application of the AstraZeneca anticovid vaccine in Mexico is estimated for the end of March and the beginning of April.

In interview for MILENIO TelevisionDelgado reiterated that Mexico pre-purchased 77.4 million doses of the vaccine.

Yesterday the Committee of New Molecules of the Federal Commission for the Prevention against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) granted the registry of emergency use of the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford against the coronavirus.

Delgado explained that after the authorization of the vaccine in Mexico, in Argentina the antigen will be produced during the month of January and later it will be brought to the country for packaging.

“The vaccine this month will be produced in Argentina, the antigen, and will be imported to Mexico for packaging, and may be available for application at the end of March early April,” he explained.
