America’s baseball pre-olympic to be broadcast on ESPN +

America’s 16 qualifier games for the Olympic Games baseball tournament, to be played over three weeks in two Florida cities, will be broadcast on ESPN +, the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) and the network announced on Monday. sporty.

The event will take place at the New York Mets Major League Spring Training Stadiums (Clover Park), in Port St. Lucie, and the one shared by the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals (The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches) in West Palm Beach.

In the mini championship, which will be played from Monday, May 31 to Saturday, June 5, eight countries will participate, divided into two groups: In Group A will be the United States, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, and in Group B Canada , Colombia, Cuba and Venezuela.

The winner will advance to the Olympics and join already qualified South Korea, Japan, Israel and Mexico. Teams finishing second and third in Florida will advance to the WBSC final playoff, which will take place June 16-20 in Taichung, Taiwan.

The fair will start with the clashes between the great Caribbean rivals Puerto Rico against the Dominican Republic and Cuba against Venezuela, at 1 pm, while at night Nicaragua will face the United States and Colombia against Canada.
