Amazon Announces 10,000 New UK Jobs

The American online commerce giant Amazon announced on Friday (05/14/2021) that it will create 10,000 jobs in the United Kingdom, thanks mainly to the opening of new distribution centers, to cope with the demand boom with the pandemic. .

The group will increase its total workforce in the country to 55,000 people by the end of this year, it said in a statement. Amazon had already announced the day before the hiring of 75,000 more people in the United States and Canada. Worldwide, the company employed about 1.3 million people at the end of last year.
