Juchitepec, Mex. — Christy Mary, 15 years old, disappeared the week before, and after nine days of searching, her body was found in the Las Cabañas area, reported authorities from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM ).
The minor’s parents denounced her disappearance on December 18, for which reason prosecution authorities issued an emergency bulletin to search for the young woman, while family, friends and neighbors toured the area and spread her image.
Marisol and Christian Antonio, parents of the teenager, on December 23 published a video in which they asked for help from Juchitepec authorities to carry out the search, at the same time that they offered whoever was with her to let her return and that there would be no further investigation, while apologizing to their daughter for how they had treated her, “there are no books on how to treat children, sometimes it gets out of control, I am totally sorry,” said the father.
Christy “thank you very much for being a good friend, colleague and student, as well as for supporting your loved ones as much as you could; your affections and laughter will always be engraved in our hearts, we know that you are leaving, but we never leave behind what we try to do to find you. Rest in peace ”, affirmed her companions, who participated in the search.
Authorities of the Mexican prosecutor’s office reported that next to the body of the minor they found a posthumous letter, where she explained the reason why she would have left her home, so one of the lines of investigation in this case is suicide.
Until November 30, in the state there is a record of 133 femicides, a crime that is concentrated in metropolitan municipalities of the Valley of Mexico such as Atizapán de Zaragoza, Ecatepec, Chimalhuacán and Tecámac.
