A tragic accident in which five people died was registered this Wednesday afternoon on Route 3, between the towns of Stroeder and Villalonga, in the south of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Three of the deceased, who were traveling in a Peugeot 208, were from Comodoro Rivadavia (one of them, a baby) and the other two, who were aboard a Jeep Renegade, were from Río Gallegos, the capital of Santa Cruz.
Meanwhile, a third occupant of the Jeep was seriously injured and was admitted to intensive care. The two vehicles staged a shocking frontal collision at the height of the Wind Farm located between Villalonga and Stroeder, in the south of the Province of Buenos Aires.
According to the Chief Officer Jorge Cádiz, Head of the local Police Substation, the event took place at 4.15 p.m. at km 866.
Official sources confirmed to the portal La Brújula 24 that the Peugeot traveled from north to south, while the truck did it in the opposite direction. The occupants of the minor vehicle died on the spot. They were a 27-year-old nurse -who was driving-, her 32-year-old partner, and their 6-month-old son, all from Comodoro Rivadavia.
While the Renegade was being driven by a 32-year-old man, he was the only survivor. He was accompanied by his 60-year-old mother and a person who has not yet been identified. They were all from Río Gallegos.
