Six mayors of Mexico City are in Red alert by forecast of temperatures down to -2 degrees during the early morning and tomorrow of this Friday January 1st.
The mayors of Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, Tlalpan and Xochimilco expect 0 to -2 degrees Celsius between the 04:00 and 09:00 hours of this Friday.

This was reported by Civil Protection through its Twitter account, where it alerted that the ten remaining municipalities are on Orange Alert, since the temperature is expected to drop to 3 or even 1 degree centigrade.
They are Azcapotzalco, Coyoacán, Cuauhtémoc, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Miguel Hidalgo, Tláhuac and Venustiano Carranza.

Given the forecast of very low temperatures for the beginning of 2021, the agency issued a series of recommendations to the rooms to protect themselves from the cold.
- Wear at least three layers of clothing, preferably cotton or wool.
- Use cream to hydrate and protect the skin from the cold.
- If you use heaters or a fireplace, keep adequate ventilation.
- Before sleeping, turn off candles and cooktops.
- Cover the nose and mouth to avoid direct exposure to contaminants.
