MEXICO CITY.

Bad started the year for two opposition parties.

Between mutual reproaches, the PAN and the Citizen Movement decided to break any possibility of an alliance in Jalisco to renew the local congress, federal deputies and mayors.

MC admitted having rapprochement with the PAN, but regretted the “centralist vision” of the blue and white and instead chose to go alone in that entity towards the June election.

We reject any alliance proposal that has the condition of including the PRI, and therefore we announce that we will not go in coalition with any political party in the local electoral process in Jalisco, ”he said.

Meanwhile, the PAN CEN declared in favor of the coalitions that seek to defend Mexico “against the destruction to which the Morena government is leading the country.”

He criticized that MC “has acted more as an ally of Morena than as a true opposition party, privileging its partisan interest.”

BREAK MC AND BREAD IN JALISCO

Amid mutual accusations, the National Action (PAN) and Citizen Movement (MC) parties decided to break any possibility of an electoral alliance in Jalisco for the renewal of the local Congress, federal deputies and city councils this year.

Through a statement, MC confirmed that he made the decision not to go in coalition with the PAN for the June 6 elections.

In the letter he details that although they did have rapprochement with the PAN, they regret the “centralist vision” of the national PAN, and chose to reject the proposal for an alliance.

We reject in advance any alliance proposal that has as a condition to include the PRI, and therefore we announce that we will not go in coalition with any political party in the local electoral process in Jalisco ”, established MC.

He clarified that they are open to building alliances with different Jalisco leaderships, and that they thank the “good PAN” for the willingness they had to think about the best proposals for Jalisco.

In this way, MC added that they have already concluded the registration process of candidates for municipal presidencies, local and federal councils.

Likewise, prior to the session of its state council in Jalisco, to be held this January 2, the National Executive Committee (CEN) of the PAN declared that it is in favor of the electoral coalitions that pursue the higher objective of caring for and defending Mexico, “In view of the destruction to which the Morena government is leading the country.”

However, in the case of MC, “it is clear that he has acted more as an ally of Morena than as a true opposition party, privileging his partisan interest more to the general interest of the nation”, by refusing to go in the partial coalition with He is going through Mexico and strategically joining efforts to build a new opposition majority in the Chamber of Deputies in 2021.

For that reason, the national leadership of the PAN informs that the National Permanent Commission has already expressed on several occasions that, if a coalition with MC does not materialize at the national level, we would not go into any association with that party locally ”.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Clemente Castañeda Hoeflich, national coordinator of Movimiento Ciudadano, said that from the national leadership of the party “we recognize and support the state leadership in Jalisco in its decision to build alliances with people in the next local electoral process. and not with the parties that represent the past.

We congratulate Ricardo Rodríguez for his work as state coordinator and the entire team of the Jalisco Citizen Movement for having made the important decision to go only in alliance with the free women and men of Jalisco ”, added the national coordinator.
